Audio buttons not working? This guide will help you replace the audio/USB port of the Bose SoundLink Mini II. In order to replace these parts make sure to have the necessary tools that are required and the replacement parts. Use caution when working with a charged battery when removing the circuit boards.

Gently remove the rubber base from speaker by pulling around the edges.

I'm not able to remove the battery, it looks like it soldered to the board. An more detail on how to remove it please?

the mini 2 battery is soldered to a smaller board, either u desolder it or buy it with the small board, but with that it is even harder to replace

Yeah this guide is just like the original Bose Mini which looked like that model had a way to replace the batter easily. I purchased a battery off Amazon thinking it was the same. This is not the same. The Bose Mini II has a battery hard-wired directly to the board. Might be too late but read this guide’s comments first to get the low down. The guide is very misleading. The BOSE SOUNDLINK MINI II **DOES NOT HAVE A REPLACEABLE BATTERY**

  • With the battery removed the button board will now be visible.

  • Remove the rear grille using the metal spudger.

  • The grille bends and deforms easily.

  • Remove the eight 9mm T9 Torx screws from the circuit board and back panel.

  • Use a metal spudger to release the ribbon cable connector and remove cable from the audio/USB board.
