This guide aims to provide a step-by-step process to replace an earcup, the earcup provides more insulation and helps with isolating sound in the headphones.

What you need

Step 1 Earpad Cushion

Locate the clips where the cushion is attached and slowly detach them.
Make sure most clips are detached before you start pulling on the cushion. You would risk breaking a clip.

Step 2 Ear Cloth

Tweezers

After removing the cushion you should be exposing the cloth, carefully remove the glued part with tweezers and place your new one.

Step 3 Earcup

After removing the cloth you will expose a plastic plate with three 4 mm screws.
QC 45's have no plastic tabs holding it, only the 2 screws.
Grab your PH00 head and unscrew them.
