What you need

  1. Bose QuietComfort 25 Ear Cushion Replacement, Ear Cushion: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Firmly grasp the ear cushion.

    • Remove the ear cushion by slowly pulling the cushion up and away from the Bose QuietComfort 25.

    • The cushion will suddenly come loose from the plastic fasteners. Maintain a firm grasp on the Bose QuietComfort 25 to ensure that it does not slip and break.

    • Lay the replacement ear cushion on top of the earphone.

    • The plastic bottom edge of the ear cushion should align with the circumference of the earphone.

    • Using an iFixit opening tool (or your finger or nail), push down on the plastic edge of the ear cushion to fit it under the nine plastic fasteners on the inside of the earphone.

    • After the ear cushion is in place, the nine fasteners should be visible if you pull the cushion to the center of the earphone.

Great write up, saved me from having to buy new headphones. Just to add some clarification for the Bose QuietComfort 35, the right side is the side with the buttons (if you get mixed up like I did).
