What you need

  1. Black and Decker Toast R Oven Knobs Replacement, Knobs: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Make sure that the toaster is unplugged before you begin.

    • Turn the toaster upside down and remove the two Phillips #4 1 cm screws attached to the side panels.

    • Pull down and out to remove side panels from the unit

    • Repeat for the other side.

    • Remove the bottom vent.

    • This should come off fairly easy.

    • Remove the two Phillips #4 1 cm screws that connect the bottom panel to the unit.

    • Remove the crumb tray (bottom metal panel) from the toaster unit.

    • Remove the aluminum strip on the bottom of the unit.

    • Remove knobs by pulling up on them.

    • Unhook the bottom of the display panel from the toaster unit.

    • It will be a little tough to pry off, but don't be afraid to be forceful.

    • Begin to detach the back panel from the toaster unit and unhook the rest of the display panel.

    • This will also be a little tough to get off, but don't be afraid to be forceful.
