Introduction

This will guide you through the process of removing/replacing the Actuator Fwd/Rev switch on the Black and Decker PS-1800.

Parts

No parts required.

  1. Lay drill on its side, assuring that the drill-holes are facing upwards.
    • Lay drill on its side, assuring that the drill-holes are facing upwards.

    • Use a Phillips-head screwdriver (#00) to remove all seven screws (12mm).

  2. Separate the clam-shell (outer drill case) to expose drill's inner components.
    • Separate the clam-shell (outer drill case) to expose drill's inner components.

    • Start separating the outer shell into two parts.

    • You will find the Fwd/Rev Actuator located on the right side of the drill underneath the motor.

    • Carefully remove the actuator from the drill.

    • Replace the new actuator by inserting it the same way you took it out.
