What you need

  1. Bissell SmartClean 1605 Roller Brush Replacement, Roller Brush: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Make sure your device is powered off.

    • Gently flip device over.

    • Remove plastic plate cover to reveal brush roller.

  4. Bissell SmartClean 1605 Roller Brush Replacement: step 4, image 1 of 2 Bissell SmartClean 1605 Roller Brush Replacement: step 4, image 2 of 2
    • Remove brush roller from its slots on either side.

    • Apply pressure to one side and pull the roller out of its opposite slot.

    • It's like taking out a spring loaded toilet paper holder.

What if mine don't feel spring loaded and the brushe seems like it was just wants to fall out

I'm having the same issue. The spring is not reloading to the brush just falls out

Same issue with mine. Took it apart and found that the side with spring loaded holder was broken.

I am having the same issue it’s like a part is missing for the pin side not the square sides to hold the brush roll in place.
