Introduction

This guide will show you the steps necessary to remove the capacitor in the Bendix Magneto. A worn out capacitor can cause an excessive RPM drop on the left or right aircraft magneto.

Parts

No parts required.

Use a #2 Flathead screw driver to remove the five screws on the body of the magneto.
  • Use a #2 Flathead screw driver to remove the five screws on the body of the magneto.

Add Comment

Locate the two screws on the back of the magneto that holds the capacitor in place.

Use a #2 Flathead screw driver to remove the screws.

Remove the Capacitor and replace it.
