BLU Life XL Speaker Replacement

What you need

    • Turn the device off by holding down the power button for up to 5 seconds and then tapping the "Power off" button on the screen.

    • Remove the rear cover using your hands at the lip on the device back cover. No tools required.

    • Remove the battery by lifting the lower edge of the battery up first.

    • Remove twelve 2.1mm Phillips #000 screws from the rear plate.

    • Use an opening tool to separate the rear plate from the phone.

    • Firmly press the opening tool into the gap between the front glass and rear plate. This gap is located on all sides of the phone.

    • If the opening tool is not working, try using your fingernails on the side of the phone. Once a small area of the rear plate is released, continue to use the opening tool.

    • Run the opening tool around the entire phone separating the rear plate from the frame.

    • Gently flip the tan cable lock back to release the ribbon cable from the lower PCB Board.

    • Using a spudger, gently pull the ribbon cable from its socket.

    • Remove the 3mm screw from the PCB using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

    • Locate the speaker and connected haptic motor on the lower PCB of the phone.

    • Using an opening tool, lightly pry around all edges of the PCB until it releases from the adhesive backing.

    • Use the same process as above to remove the Haptic motor. It has the black and red wire connected to it and the PCB.
