How to disassemble the Atari 2600 Junior to remove the circuit board.

  • Remove 5 Phillips screws from base.

Image 1/3: Be careful not to break the plastic clips Image 2/3: While unhooking the center hook use another spudger to run along the top and bottom casing. This helps to get the clip lose. Image 3/3: Be careful not to pull the case apart quickly, there is a ribbon that is attached to the top and bottom.
  • Use a metal or heavy duty spudger to unhook the 3 plastic clips holding the front of the case together.

  • Be careful not to break the plastic clips

  • While unhooking the center hook use another spudger to run along the top and bottom casing. This helps to get the clip lose.

  • Be careful not to pull the case apart quickly, there is a ribbon that is attached to the top and bottom.

  • Detach the ribbon from the circuit board by gently pulling ribbon out from clip.

  • Remove the circuit board.
