Introduction

Use this guide if booting is an issue or if you want to upgrade the amount of storage your SSD has. Replacing the SSD in the ASUS ZenBook UX31E is relatively easy and should not take much time.

  1. Using a T4 Torx Screwdriver, unscrew the screws at the marked locations.

    • Place the screws into a container as to not lose them.

  2. Using your iFixit Opening Tool, carefully slide it between the back panel.
    • Using your iFixit Opening Tool, carefully slide it between the back panel.

    • Lift the back plate of your ASUS ZenBook UX31E and place it to the side.

    • Attach your Anti-Static Wrist Wrap to something metal as to not shock your system.

    • Peel back the warranty sticker to reveal the screw under it.

    • Peeling off the sticker located on the SSD will void the warranty.

    • Using your Phillips 00 Precision Screwdriver, unscrew the screw that you just revealed.

    • Using your hand, pull the SSD from its slot.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Vorrei fare una precisazione, l’SSD che monta questo laptop ha un attacco XM11, oramai non si usa più, pertanto è vero che possiamo sostituirlo ma dobbiamo aver cura di prendere un SSD M2 (2280) e un adattatore, io ho trovato su Amazon questo https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B00XJRQ...

e ho preso come SSD un Crucial MX500 CT1000MX500SSD4 SSD Interno, 1 TB, 3D NAND, SATA, M.2 (2280)
