Introduction
The MicroSD card is one of the most common replacements for the ZenFone 5, and luckily, one of the easiest. The only tool required is a pin to fit in a small hole on the phone. If you do not have an advanced toolkit, some common household objects can also work, such as a thumbtack, needle, etc.
What you need

If you have a case, remove it so you can see the sides of the phone.

The slot for the MicroSD card, with the screen facing up, is on the left edge with a small hole.
Ask FixBot

Use your safety pin (or any tool with a small pin) to press into the hole until you feel a button being pressed.

Pull the pin out of the slot and the cartridge will come with.

Gently take out the MicroSD card.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
