Asus V6800V CD/DVD Drive Replacement

Step 1 Battery



• Place the computer upside down.
• Using your thumbs, slide both latches away from each other (towards the outside).
• Push the battery out with your fingers.
• The actual battery is not pictured.
Step 2 Hard Drive



• Remove the two screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
Step 3
• Pry open the case using an iFixit opening tool.
• Actual hard drive is not shown in the second image.
Step 4
• The highlighted area is where your hard drive would be. Slide it out away from its slot and pull it gently to remove.
• Second image shows what it should look like once you remove the hard drive.
Step 5 CD/DVD Drive
• First, remove the highlighted screw (bottom right corner in the picture.)
• Using any tool that fits into the highlighted hole, carefully push CD/DVD drive out.
