Introduction

RAM stands for Random Access Memory. How much RAM you have determines what kind of tasks you can do simultaneously. This often affects performance in a multitude of ways. This guide will show you how to replace your RAM cards.

  • Unscrew the back plate in the middle of the laptop by removing the two 5 mm screws - this will expose the RAM cards.

  • Pull the tabs and then slide the card to remove the RAM cards. To reinsert a new RAM card, slide the card in and then make sure it clips in with the tabs.
