The Asus Transformer T100 has two main hardware sections: the tablet and the base. This guide will focus on removing the plastic rear cover of the tablet.

Insert the plastic opening tool into the seam of the tablet casing and gently pry upwards. With a little force, you will feel the clips release.

This image seems not to show the correct position where to place the tip of the tool initially. It suggests to pry between the frame and the glass pane from the top of the tablet. That's what I did and broke the glass - one device spoilt. Only the next picture correctly shows where to apply the tool.

Broken doesn't stand a chance.
Slide the tool along all four edges of the tablet, making sure that all the clips are released.

  • Do not break these clips; otherwise, the screen will become less secure.

This is completely wrong. The outside case of the ASUS T100 is brushed metal.

Was able to remove the back cover. Needed to unplug the battery and plug it back in so the the Notebook would boot. It now boots perfectly but

when we replace the back cover it snaps in at the sides and bottom but

WILL NOT Snap in on the top (where the power switch is). All tabs on the back cover and the frame are perfect and not broken but the back cover will not snap closed completely at the top. It still powers on but the power switch sticks and have to press near the switch so it releases in the back cover cavity at the top. Anyone have any ideas on this issue. Thanks
