Asus Q502LA-BSI5T14 Fan Replacement

Introduction

The fan is responsible for cooling your laptop and ensuring that it doesn't overheat. Use this guide to replace a broken fan.

What you need

  1. Asus Q502LA-BSI5T14 Fan Replacement, Fan: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Make sure your device is powered off before you begin.

    • Flip the laptop over and remove the ten 11 mm Phillips #1 screws securing the back panel.

    • Carefully insert a plastic opening tool under one corner of the back panel.

    • Slide the tool along the seam to gently pry the panel up and away from the device.

    • Remove the eight 5 mm Phillips #1 screws securing the fan and copper piece to the motherboard.

    • Remove the wires by gently pulling them out.

    • Gently lift the fan up and away from the laptop.
