Asus Q302UA-BHI5T20 Hard Drive Replacement

Introduction

This guide will help you replace the hard drive in case of hard drive failure or wanting to upgrade it. Be sure to follow this guide in a well lit room on a flat surface. Acquire the necessary tools before hand and have a cup or a magnetic plate to keep track of all the screws.

What you need

  1. Asus Q302UA-BHI5T20 Hard Drive Replacement, Hard Drive: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the ten 10mm Phillips #0 screws.

    • Use the iFixit opening tool to pry off the back cover of the laptop.

    • Remove the four screws from the hard drive bracket.

    • Remove the five 4 mm Phillips screws.

    • Pull on this black connector piece to remove it from the hard drive.

    • The second picture shows how things should look at this point.

    • Remove these two 4 mm Phillips screws holding the hard drive to the bracket. Repeat on the other side of the bracket.

    • Pull the HD from its housing.
