Introduction

This guide requires a basic toolkit and deals with the battery of a laptop. Replacing your battery could be a good solution if you are running into problems with a shortened battery life or you have a higher quality replacement battery ready.

Attach the clip of your anti-static wrist strap to the case of the laptop.  This prevents any accidents that could fry the motherboard. Remove the four 7.0mm Philips #0 screws around the battery.

Unplug the connector highlighted in this picture by pulling it up and out of it's seating, then pull the  battery away from the motherboard and remove the battery.
