Introduction

In this guide, we'll show you how to replace the keyboard on the Asus PC EEE 1000HD completely. For this process, you will need a metal spudger tool for powerful prying. You will also need a (preferably) new replacement keyboard.

Use a metal spudger and  carefully insert the end of the flat tip into the edge of the keyboard. Hold one end of the keyboard down to make prying easier.

  • Gently lift the metal spudger until you begin hearing clicking noises; these are the sounds of the keyboard unclasping from the board below.
