Angry Miao Xmas Key Switch Replacement

Introduction

After a long time of using the keyboard, the aging key switch of the keyboard will have loose contact at the junction of the PCB board, and the keyboard will be unable to be used anymore. Here is the way that shows how to replace the key switch to continue using the keyboard.

What you need

Step 1 key switch

Facing the keyboard downwards unscrew 8 screws about 26 mm in length holding the keyboard together.
Rotate the screws in a counterclockwise motion to unscrew.

Remove the 4 screws of the brass weight in the same counterclockwise motion.

Step 3

Carefully disconnect the brass battery from the top housing by taking out the 3 cables.

When flipped upside down, the back of keyboard will look like this.
Remove the brass weight, then disconnect the keyboard PCB by taking out by pulling the 2 ribbons from the latch holding it down.
