What you need

    • Turn your Echo Dot over so that the barcode is facing upward.

    • Use a spudger to lift the adhesive connecting the device and the cover.

    • Remove the four silver 7.2 mm screws using a T6 Torx screwdriver.

    • Lift the casing of the Echo Dot to separate it from the rest of the device.

    • Remove the four black 8.4 mm screws surrounding the speaker using a JIS #1 screwdriver.

    • Use a spudger to pry the speaker out of the device.

If you have a new one and the bass is a bit rattly just losten the speaker screws push lightly on the speaker whilst tightening the screws back up. It reduces the pressure and keeps the driver from hitting the case or moving to far out
