Alcatel Pop 4 Plus Front Camera Replacement

Introduction

If your front facing camera just isn't taking good pictures anymore then it might be time to replace it! This guide will show you how to replace your camera in just a few simple steps. You'll have to remove the the first and secondary covers to get to the motherboard. Then you'll have to disengage the connectors to the motherboard so that you can remove it and access the front camera.

What you need

    • Remove the back cover by sliding your fingernail in the grove around the edge of the phone and prying it off.

    • Remove seventeen 3mm Phillips #000 screws from the mid-frame.

    • Use the flat end of the spudger, or your fingernail, to pry off the mid-frame.

    • Use the flat end of the spudger disconnect the battery from the motherboard.

    • Use the flat end of the spudger tool to pry out the battery.

    • Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the USB ribbon cable ZIF socket.

    • Slide the ribbon cable out of the socket.

    • Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the ribbon cable.

    • Using the flat end of the spudger to disconnect the ribbon cable.

    • Using the flat end of the spudger, disconnect the camera from the motherboard.

    • Use the flat end of the spudger to pry off the motherboard.

    • Disconnect the camera from the motherboard using the flattened of a spudger.
