Go to step 1 ↓In the case that your Alcatel One Touch Pop 7 Tablet is not registering sound when recording, their may be a problem with the microphone. This guide will show you how to replace the microphone within this device.

Begin by opening SD port cover as this is the best location to start prying.
Ask FixBot

Use the plastic opening tool to pry around the edges of the back cover until it pops off.

Tool used on this step:Tweezers$4.99

Disconnect battery by pulling up on the ZIF connector with precision tweezers for safety.

Solder the wires off of the motherboard with a soldering iron while holding the wires with the precision tweezers. For information on how to solder safely and correctly go to this link: How To Solder and Desolder Connections

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
