Adjusting the front bonnet

What you need

    1. Adjusting the front bonnet, Locate the closing mechanism on the bonnet: step 1, image 1 of 1
      • Open the bonnet from the inside of the car (use the lever in the glove-box) and raise the bonnet completely open.

      • The 13mm screw used to adjust the closing mechanism of the bonnet. This is the one that probably needs adjustment

      • Screws which secure the mechanism to the bonnet

      • Spring which raises the bonnet slightly so that it can be further opened by hand

    2. Adjusting the front bonnet, Adjust closing mechanism using the screw: step 2, image 1 of 1
      • Use the 13mm Wrench to screw/unscrew the bonnet closing mechanism so that it gets adjusted. Usually it needs unscrewing a little so that it reaches the closing mechanism on the car.

      • The missing black paint on the screw indicates how much this bonnet closing mechanism needed adjustment

      • After adjusting, if unscrewing was needed and the closing mechanism screw shows unpainted parts it would be wise to spray-paint the area to protect from corrosion/rust in the future.
