Battery Removal: Locate the release mechanism located at the top of the compartment. Slide the lock switch to the open position to release the module, and then safely remove the dead battery by sliding it out of the chassis.

Accessing internal components First, remove the screws securing the bottom case of the laptop. Then, use a plastic opening tool to gently pry along the edges until the cover pops off. Remove the cover completely and set it in a safe place to begin disassembling the parts.

Remove the screws securing the metal bracket to the laptop chassis. Slide the drive backward to disconnect it from the data and power port. Carefully lift the device and remove it from the bay.

To remove the RAM stick, push the two metal clips securing it on the sides outward. You will see the stick pop up on its own. Once it is tilted, simply slide it out carefully, making sure not to touch the gold contacts with your fingers.
