Acer Chromebook CB3-131-C3KD Keyboard Key Replacement

Introduction

Use this guide to replace a key from the keyboard of your device.

What you need

  1. Acer Chromebook CB3-131-C3KD Keyboard Key Replacement, Keyboard Key: step 1, image 1 of 2 Acer Chromebook CB3-131-C3KD Keyboard Key Replacement, Keyboard Key: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Make sure you turn off the laptop before starting.

    • Place the flat head screw driver under the key, but over the key clip retainer.

    • Push down on one of the bottom corners of the key, so that the opposite diagonal corner rises and gives leeway.

    • Carefully place the flat head screw driver under the raised corner.

    • Carefully pry up from underneath the raised corner to raise the metal clips away from the key base.

    • Pry up from the top left and right corners of the retainer subsequently.

    • Remove clip retainer.
