Introduction

Use this guide to replace the screen of your Acer Chromebook CB3-111-C670. The screen replacement is a simple fix, and shouldn't take long at all.

Image 1/2: Use a spudger or plastic opening tool to pry the white frame away from the screen. Image 2/2: The frame is held on by clips that will release as you move the spudger along the seam between the frame and the screen.
  • First make sure the laptop is powered off and unplugged before starting this repair.

  • Remove the 4 screws on silver brackets holding the screen to the back of the laptop.

Image 1/2: Unlock the ZIF connector by using a spudger to flip up the black tab on top of the connector. Image 2/2: Pull the ribbon cable out with tweezers.
  • Lift the piece of tape covering the display connector.

  • Unlock the ZIF connector by using a spudger to flip up the black tab on top of the connector.

  • Pull the ribbon cable out with tweezers.

  • Remove the screen.
