Introduction

This guide describes how to properly remove the battery of the Acer Chromebook C720-2103. It can be referenced for the temporary removal of the battery while replacing another component or for the batteries permanent replacement.

Replacement of the battery is recommended when the Acer no longer holds a charge or when the battery has been diagnosed as faulty.

The removal process isn’t complicated but should be performed carefully, as the plastic outer casing is easy to damage during the opening process.

Make sure the device is powered off during this replacement as there is a possibility of electrocution.
