Acer Aspire V3-551-8469 Optical Drive Replacement

Introduction

The optical drive or commonly known as the DVD drive. It will need to be replaced if it is failing to eject or read a CD/DVD. Use this guide to replace broken optical drives on your Acer Aspire V3-551-8469 laptop. No complicated manipulation is required.

What you need

    • To release the battery, slide the orange tab to the right with a spudger.

    • The battery is now released and can be picked up and set to the side.

    • Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the 5.3 mm screw from the back panel.

    • Pull out the optical drive.
