Acer Aspire 5742 Series Keyboard Replacement

What you need

    • Place laptop upside down and push battery lock slider to the left to unlock. Lift battery out of case.

    • Open laptop then use the plastic opening tool to push in the 6 tabs at top of keyboard.

    • Gently lift up keyboard to access the keyboard connection ribbon. Use plastic opening tool to pop the ribbon cable lock open.

    • Once keyboard ribbon cable is unlocked, pull cable free and remove keyboard.
