Introduction
If the laptop screen takes a big hit the webcam wires can sometimes become disconnected. If the wires have become dislodged then the webcam can be fixed relatively easily by reconnecting the cables to the webcam. If the webcam breaks, the only option is to replace the webcam.

Remove the trim from the top of the monitor by using the Plastic Opening Tool to carefully pop off the clips around the parameter.

Carefully pull the top of the monitor cover off with bottom still attached, and view the webcam attached by a wire.

Unplug webcam wire using fingers or tweezers.
