ASUS N56JR-MH71 Hard Drive Replacement

Introduction

If you want to upgrade storage space, this guide will show you how to replace the hard drive. Be sure the hard drive length is 2.5" and width is 9.5 mm. Also the connection of the hard drive must be SATA3.

What you need

    • Push the battery latch.

    • Keep the battery latch held while you remove the battery.

    • Remove the one screw securing the back cover.

    • Pry off the cover using a finger.

    • This device was missing its screws on the back cover when we received the device. As a result, we do not know what head type the screws are, along with their lengths.

    • Remove the screws securing hard drive to the laptop.

    • Pull out the hard drive from the connector.

    • Replace with a new hard drive.

    • This device was missing its screws on the back cover when we received the device. As a result, we do not know what head type the screws are, along with their lengths.
