What you need

    • Use a spudger or opening tool to open the key fob by inserting it into the indent on the side of the fob and prying it up.

    • We don't recommend using a screwdriver for prying (as the photo demonstrates) as this could cause damage to the fob or battery.

    • Use a spudger to pry the battery up.

    • Don't use a screwdriver to pry a battery. This could damage the battery and is potentially dangerous.

    • Remove the battery.

    • Slide the new battery into the battery slot and click it into place.

    • Place the cover back on the fob and snap it into place.
