Introduction
The Smart FOB remote key design is identical for various Honda models including Odyssey / Pilot / CRV/ HRV / Accord / Civic / Ridgeline. The steps listed can be used to replace the battery on the mentioned models.

Remove the mechanical key by moving the tab on back of key & pulling out the key.

Separate the shell using a large screw driver or by using the mechanical key. The shells have a separating tab in the middle. Pry open the shell by gently twisting the screwdriver or the mechanical key into the separating tab.

Replace the battery. Make sure not to damage the 2 tabs holding the battery. Do not press or force the battery into its place, slide it underneath the tabs.

Put the outer shell together and gently press and snap the two half's in place
