1996-1998 Acura TL Center Dash Replacement (1996, 1997, 1998)

Introduction

Here you will learn how to remove the wood panel from the center dash unit. After doing this guide you will be free to get to the center dash and stereo/cd/cassete players.

What you need

Step 1 Center Dash

Using a panel tool or long flat head screwdriver, pry the wood grain trim off and release the clips. Be careful on the thin sections below the head unit as to not snap the trim.

Detach the wiring harness from the back of the air conditioning control unit by pushing down on the top middle tab and pulling apart using a screwdriver for leverage if necessary.
