Introduction

This guide explains how to remove the radio in a 1995-2001 Honda CRV.

Image 1/3: Remove the 13mm screws holding the glove box frame. Image 2/3: Remove the 13mm screws holding the glove box frame. Image 3/3: Remove the 13mm screws holding the glove box frame.
  • Remove the clips in the glovebox by pushing them in.

  • Remove the 13mm screws holding the glove box frame.

Image 1/3: Remove the six 13mm screws attaching the pocket. Image 2/3: Remove the six 13mm screws attaching the pocket. Image 3/3: Remove the six 13mm screws attaching the pocket.
  • Open the fold-down pocket

  • Remove the six 13mm screws attaching the pocket.

  • Unsnap each side of the trim panel from the center console.

Image 1/3: Pull the dashboard until it snaps off. Image 2/3: Pull the dashboard until it snaps off. Image 3/3: Pull the dashboard until it snaps off.
  • Remove the two screws from the driver-side dashboard.

  • Pull the dashboard until it snaps off.

  • Pull off the center dash.

  • Remove the 13mm screws connecting the console to the frame.

Image 1/1: Remove the unplugged lighter and controls. Use caution to avoid damaging the wires.
  • Unplug the cigarette lighter and A/C Controls.

  • Remove the console.

  • Unclip the radio wires.
