1990-1993 Honda Accord EX Engine Air Filter Replacement (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993)

Introduction

To make sure the engine of your 1991 Honda Accord EX has sufficient airflow throughout and prevents dirt and dust from entering the engine, use this guide to replace the engine air filter.

The engine air filter is a part that allows the engine to receive proper airflow. As time goes on, they will become old and dirty due to the amount of dirt and dust particles that go through the filter. An old air filter will result in less airflow which can lead to the engine stalling in the long run. If you notice the engine light on, reduced fuel efficiency, or strange engine sounds, you should consider changing the vehicle's air filter.

Before starting, make sure the vehicle is completely off since it does not need to be on to replace the air filter.

Flip the switch underneath the steering wheel to open the hood.

Open the hood, and keep it in place using the prop rod.

Remove the four 1.3 cm Phillips screws from the cover of the case.

Remove the cover of the casing.

Remove the old air filter and replace it with a brand-new one.
Place the new air filter in the same position as the old one otherwise, you will not be able to screw the cover back on.
