Background and Identification
Released on February 18th, 2020, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is an Android smartphone developed by Xiaomi Inc. Featuring an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and rear, the Mi 10 Pro has a large, curved 6.67 in AMOLED Dot Display with TrueColor. Competing with phones such as the Oppo Find X2, Huawei P40 Pro, and the Samsung S20 family, the Mi 10 Pro aims to satisfy users with good looks and high-level performance. Additionally, the Mi 10 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with 8GB or 12 GB LPDDR RAM and the Adreno 650 GPU.
Its design features the body of the phone in between a sandwich of glass—similar to the flagship phones of 2020. A slim, metal frame serves as the filling between the two Gorilla Glass 5 panels that curve around the edges to meet the aluminum. Moreover, the Mi 10 Pro is available in two colors: Alpine White or Solstice Grey. Apart from the colors, an interesting aspect of the phone’s rear is the placement of the camera module. Unlike the traditional rectangular camera placements in most smartphones, the Mi 10 Pro features its cameras in a vertical column—three lenses are encompassed in the same raised module, while the fourth lens has its own “island”. This placements result in the cameras resembling an exclamation point—an interesting design.
