Background and Identification
An ultrasound wattmeter, also known as an ultrasound power meter, is a tool that calibrates and tests the output of ultrasound devices. The power of the ultrasound device under test can be measured by the radiation that it omits. An ultrasound wattmeter can measure total-pulsed as well as continuous-average power.
Ultrasound wattmeters are useful for verifying the performance and power output of the many different types and levels of ultrasound devices used for therapy and diagnosis.
