Identification and Background
The Studio Display was announced on March 8th, 2022 and released March 18th, alongside the Mac Studio. Marketed as the companion screen to the Mac Studio, the Studio Display features a 27-in 5K display with a 5120x2800 resolution and 600 nits of brightness. It also boasts a 12MP Ultra Wide camera, a six-speaker system, three-mic array, and A13 Bionic chip integration, which enables features like Center Stage and “Hey Siri.”
The Studio Display currently comes in Standard Glass and Nano-texture Glass variants, the latter offering light scattering to minimize glare; they are priced $1,599 and $1,899, respectively. Similarly, the Studio Display has three options for stands at checkout: Tilt-adjustable, Tilt- and height-adjustable, and VESA mount adapter. They all do what their name implies—the VESA mount adapter works with any VESA-compatible 100 x 100 mm mount—and the Tilt- and height-adjustable stand is an additional $400.
