Redmi Pad Pro Repair

Background:

Launched on the European market in May 2024, the Redmi Pad Pro is marketed as a premium tablet for all users at a moderate price (349 to 379€ at launch, including special offers).

Its technical specifications are quite interesting: a 12.1-inch screen (16:10 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution, and 120 Hz display frequency) paired with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (Antutu: 615,824) with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. The tablet is available in three trendy (pastel) colors: Graphite Gray, Mint Green, and Ocean Blue. Speakers, a selfie camera, and a front camera complete the package.

However, its USB-C 2.0 connector positions it in the consumer tablet market, as it does not allow connection to a display or projector directly, which limits its use for office work, CAD, etc.

At launch, like all Xiaomi products, the Redmi Pad Pro was offered for around 379.90€ with a 30€ discount and the Redmi Smart Pen and Redmi Pad Pro Cover included for free. A Redmi Pad Pro Keyboard is also available at an attractive price for once (± 50€).

Identifying the Redmi Pad Pro:

When holding the tablet in landscape mode, on the front, only the selfie camera in the center breaks the unity of the black frame around the screen. On the back, still in landscape mode: on the top right are two large circles with the rear camera and flash, on the top left is the word "Redmi", and on the bottom left are the CE logos and the crossed-out wheelie bin, plus the mentions "Made in China," the serial number, and Xiaomi's address.

Sometimes in the center, there are stickers with the Serial Number (if there is an IMEI, you are holding a Redmi Pad Pro 5G).

Two model numbers are known for the Redmi Pad Pro:
