Redmagic is primarily a gaming-oriented smartphone brand, founded in 2018, China. Redmagic is a subsidiary of Nubia Technology, which in turn is a subsidiary of ZTE Corporation. Redmagic also designs smartphone accessories, and began in 2024 a gaming laptop and gaming tablet product family.
Hallmarks of Redmagic smartphones are active cooling systems and RGB lighting, while pushing gaming smartphones forward. The Redmagic 5G, released in 2020, was the first smartphone to feature a 144 Hz display. In 2021, the Redmagic 6 series was the first phone to have a 165 Hz display.
