Background
The Headphone (1) Pro is a wireless over-ear closed-back ANC headphone, released by Nothing Technology Limited. The headphone was announced in September 2026, and is the senior sibling to the Headphone (1) released the year prior.
The flagship headphone is Nothing's first to use multiple drivers, a technique often used in IEMs. Instead of relying on a single driver to cover the whole frequency spectrum, the model uses specialized drivers for each frequency segment. The Headphone (1) Pro has three drivers, a 40 mm dynamic driver to cover the 20 Hz to 10 kHz region, a 13 x 8 mm dynamic driver that covers the 5 to 15 kHz, and a xMEMS driver with a silicon diaphragm for the 10 to 40 kHz. The model is tuned by the UK-based Metropolis Studios. It is Hi-Res Audio certified and supports the LDAC audio codec.
The Headphone (1) Pro connects via Bluetooth 6.1, digital over USB Type-C, and 3.5 mm Line-in. Each earcup houses 5 microphones and has 5 dB improved noise cancellation over its junior sibling. The headphone is covered in physical controls and, just like Nothing's other headphones, includes a roller, a paddle, and a button on the right earcup while adding a new EQ switch on the left earcup, letting users switch between a neutral profile with less artificial processing and an EQ profile of choice.
The headphone has an aluminum chassis, with titanium hinges and scratch-resistant Panda Glass covers exposing the insides. It comes in white and black.
