Background and Identification

Noise dosimeters are specialized sound level readers used to record noise exposure over an extended period of time. These devices are especially useful in the context of occupational safety and health, since they can record with precision the exposure levels endured by the wearer in real time. Because they show the amount (or dose) of noise the wearer is exposed to in a day, noise dosimeters are an important tool to aid against noise-induced hearing loss.
