The MG MGB is an iconic British sports car produced from 1962 to 1980. It became the best-selling MG of all time with over 500,000 units produced. The MG MGB was primarily powered by a single four-cylinder engine. The workhorse for nearly every MGB roadster and GT produced between 1962 and 1980 was the 1.8L "B-Series" (I4). It typically produced about 95 hp in early trim, though US emissions regulations choked output down to around 62–70 hp.
