Background
Announced June 18th, 2026 through a listing on Lenovo's PSREF product specifications site rather than a launch event or press release, the ThinkPad L13 Gen 7 is Lenovo's compact 13.3-inch budget business laptop. It replaces the L13 Gen 6, which used Intel Arrow Lake-U processors and was also offered with AMD processors. The L13 Gen 7 is Intel-only.
The L13 Gen 7 uses Intel Core Ultra Series 2 (Lunar Lake) V-series processors, from the Core Ultra 5 226V up to the Core Ultra 7 266V, with integrated Intel Arc 130V or 140V graphics. Every model has 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory built into the processor package, so memory can't be upgraded. Storage is a single M.2 2242 SSD. Other options include a 41 Wh or 54.7 Wh battery, a 5 MP camera with IR, 4G LTE, NFC, and a smart card reader. There's no built-in ethernet port.
Lenovo offers it in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia and New Zealand, but not in North America. It comes in Black.
Identification
Like other ThinkPad products, the L13 Gen 7 is readily identifiable by the make and model number printed on the bottom cover, in order to aid in finding compatible parts and repair procedures. The same information is available in Windows under Lenovo Vantage, or in the BIOS setup under Main.
