These are some common tools used to work on this device. You might not need every tool for every procedure.
The first speaker with a Lightning socket from 2012. The dock fits the iPhone 5, the current iPod Touch, as well as the current iPod Nano or newer devices. An iPad 4 or an iPad Mini are too large. On the back of the speaker is a mini-jack input, to which any music player can be connected. Unfortunately, a mini-jack cable is not included. Next to it is a USB port; here you can also connect an iPad or older iOS devices such as the iPhone 4S with a 30-pin dock using a USB cable and use this device just as you would a device in the dock.
