The HP Envy x360 15-bp106ng is a 2-in-1 laptop that was released globally in September 2017. The device features a 15.6-inch display that could rotate 360 degrees, allowing it to function as both a traditional laptop and a tablet, which provided much versatility for the everyday user.
The bp106ng model was powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor, which provided good performance for day-to-day tasks. However, it may have struggled with more demanding workloads like intensive video editing or gaming. It also came equipped with 8GB of RAM which helped with its overall performance and also contained a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD), which made boot times faster compared to traditional hard drives.
The HP Envy x360 15-bp106ng is targeted towards the everyday consumer who wanted portability and performance, the price point of $1000 USD placed the Envy x360 line in between the premium HP Spectre and budget HP Pavilion product lines. This price point made it accessible to consumers seeking a balance between performance, portability and affordability.
After a couple of years on the market, HP retired the bp106ng and updated it with the HP Envy x360 15m-dr1012dx. The successor kept the convertible design but upgraded to Intel's faster 10th generation processors. This device has a timeless design and with proper maintenance, users can extend the lifespan and reliability of their HP Envy x360.

The HP Envy x360 15-bp106ng had an aluminum design with a silver finish. Its 15.6-inch touchscreen display allowed it to convert into a tablet thanks to the 360-degree hinge. Measuring around 1.96 cm thin and weighing 2.1 kg, giving it a sleek and portable design. The device featured Bang & Olufsen premium speakers. On the right side of the device, it included the standard ports such as USB-C, HDMI, microSD card reader and an audio port. The model number can be found on the bottom of the device.
