The Galaxy XR is a wearable virtual-reality headset that runs on the Android XR platform and is sold by Samsung. It uses dual 4K Micro-OLED displays with ~4,032 pixels per inch and roughly a 109° horizontal and 100° vertical field of view. The headset weighs about 545 g (1.20 lb) and has an ergonomic design with adjustable cushions and a head strap. It includes onboard eye, hand, and voice input, and it supports contextual AI interaction powered by Google Gemini.
The headset uses a removable external battery that Samsung refers to as a “quick swap battery", which can be replaced while the device remains on. The headset can also connect with select Galaxy phones and PCs for extended workflows. Samsung lists the US price at around $1,799.99 for the 256 GB Wi-Fi model and offers optional prescription lenses as accessories.
