Background and Identification
Medical specific electrical testing devices employ many of the same instruments as general electrical testing equipment like ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators. However, this category largely consists of automatic test equipment, which are devices that plug into a specific device or set of devices for which they were designed and are able to quickly test, analyze, and interpret the results. These devices may be used to perform a safety functioning test on a ventilator, or to check whether the PPE sanitizer is on track for its next servicing.
