Background and Identification

The Project Meta is CrinEar's debut IEM, announced and released in March 2025. As a Project-series IEM, the product had an initial limited production run of 500 units, which was extended to 999 units.

The Project Meta takes its name from the "new meta", referring to the IEF (In-Ear Fidelity) Preference 2025, which served as a basis for the model's tuning, with measurements taken on the B&K Type 5128 ear simulator. The Project Meta follow a tilted Diffuse Field response with a sub-bass boost that balances precision with a euphonic presentation, and have a relaxed treble. The Project Meta's tuning is achieved through analog components, without DSP.

The IEMs have a compact CNC-machined aluminum shell with an ergonomic shape and 5.8 mm nozzles. The Project Meta uses 2-pin connectors.
